Marshall University Graduate College, the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Fellows Program, and West Virginia University Graduate Programs came together for the second year to host a reception to honor the participants of WV - Undergraduate Research Day. The reception took place at the Cultural Center next to the Capitol.
Over 200 people were in attendance, including Governor Manchin who attended to honor the participants and present awards to grant recipients from various WV institutions.
The reception is always a great opportunity to recognize young scientists for their dedication to the STEM disciplines as well as provide a setting for students and mentors alike from throughout the state to share their research interests in a more relaxed environment. |
