The Biomedical Sciences program at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine is pleased to offer many state-of-the-art facilities to support research at the University. These include the following facilities:
Animal Resource Facility - The mission of the Division of Animal Resources (DAR) is to provide professional animal support services to the faculty, staff and students at Marshall University.
Genomics Core Facility - provides access to a variety of instrumentation to aid in the analysis of gene expression both on individual genes and a genomic scale.
Microscopy Core Facility - Marshall University has available to all M.U. faculty, staff, and students excellent microscopy facilities including: confocal laser scanning, scanning electron with x-ray analysis, atomic force, high resolution fluorescence and differential contrast optics with both tunable and standard filters.
Flow Cytometry Core Facility - provides the use of a state of the art BD FACSAria cell sorter capable of 11 parameter analysis.
